MECÀNIQUES @ Fabra i Coats

In order to grab video footage for MECÀNIQUES (performance installation that premiered at the Museum Night at the Museu del Disseny de Barcelona), we were given permission to enter some of the old factory halls of Fabra i Coats, which were left abandoned after textile production was closed down in 2005 and are now being gutted. The spirit of these times, characterized by mechanical craftsmanship of the textile workers - mainly female - was still omnipresent.
